How does the zero-tangling brush system actually work?

The brush uses a unique conical design mounted on a single floating arm instead of a traditional cylindrical roller. When hair or pet fur contacts the brush, it's immediately channelled into the suction pathway rather than wrapping around the brush surface. The floating arm allows the brush to maintain contact with surfaces whilst preventing debris from accumulating. This design has been independently tested and certified by SGS and TÜV laboratories, achieving a 0% tangle rate with 99.5% hair removal efficiency.

What cleaning solution does the robot use and can I substitute it?

The robot requires Narwal's proprietary cleaning solution which comes included with the unit. The base station automatically dispenses the correct amount during each mopping cycle. Currently, you cannot substitute this with other cleaning products as the system is calibrated for the specific formula. The cleaning solution is designed to work with the AI DirtSense technology and mop pad materials. Replacement cleaning solution is available through Narwal's official channels.

How long does the battery last and how does charging work?

The lithium-ion battery provides sufficient power for comprehensive whole-home cleaning cycles. When the battery runs low, the robot automatically returns to the docking station for charging. The charging process typically takes around 2 hours for a full charge. The robot can resume cleaning from where it left off if the battery depletes mid-cycle. The base station provides continuous power supply, so the robot is always ready when needed.

Can the robot clean different floor types in the same session?

Yes, the robot automatically adapts to different surface types during cleaning. It can transition between hard floors, tiles and carpets seamlessly. The 8200 Pa suction power adjusts appropriately for each surface type. For mopping, the system recognises carpet areas and avoids them whilst continuing to vacuum. You can also set up no-mop zones in the app for specific carpet areas if needed.

How accurate is the mapping and navigation system?

The tri-laser system provides millimetre-precision mapping and obstacle avoidance. During the initial setup, the robot creates a detailed virtual map of your home which you can edit in the app. You can divide rooms, set no-go zones and place virtual furniture markers. The robot remembers furniture positions and adapts to changes in room layouts. The side sensors enable it to clean very close to walls and furniture edges whilst avoiding collisions.

What maintenance is required and how often?

Daily maintenance is minimal - you only need to empty the dirty water tank and refill the fresh water tank as needed. The disposable dust bags last up to 7 weeks before replacement. Mop pads should be replaced when worn or washed periodically for optimal performance. The app provides maintenance reminders and tracks component lifespan. The base station self-cleans after each use, reducing manual maintenance requirements significantly.

How does the EdgeSwing technology work for corner cleaning?

EdgeSwing technology extends the robot's cleaning reach into corners and along edges. The system uses extending mechanisms to position the mop pads closer to walls and into corner areas that would normally be inaccessible. Combined with the side sensors, this technology enables cleaning right up to baseboards and into tight spaces. Whilst it significantly improves edge cleaning compared to standard robots, some very tight corners may still require occasional manual attention.

What are the dimensions and will it fit under my furniture?

The robot measures 37cm length × 43.4cm width × 41.5cm height, making it suitable for most standard furniture clearances. The base station requires additional space and measures accordingly. Before purchasing, measure the clearance under your beds, sofas and other furniture to ensure access. The robot's height of 41.5cm means it may not fit under very low furniture, but this is typical for robots with advanced features and larger dust capacity.
