The water tank refills automatically during cleaning cycles, but you'll need to manually refill the dock's clean water reservoir and empty the dirty water tank approximately every 2 weeks with regular use. The system alerts you through the app when maintenance is required.

Can it clean multiple floor types in one session?

Yes, the Qrevo QV 35S automatically adjusts between floor types. It vacuums carpets first with maximum suction, then mops hard floors. The mop pads lift 10mm when detecting carpets to prevent dampening. The SmartPlan feature customises cleaning strategies based on room and floor types, ensuring optimal results across tiles, hardwood, laminate and carpets.

How effective is the pet hair removal?

Extremely effective thanks to the dual anti-tangle brush system. The rubberised main brush and specially designed side brush prevent hair from wrapping around the mechanisms. The 10,000Pa suction power easily lifts pet hair from carpets and upholstery, while the side brush is SGS-certified for zero hair tangling, making it ideal for homes with multiple pets.

What happens if it encounters obstacles or gets stuck?

The structured light obstacle avoidance system detects furniture, cables, shoes and other objects in real-time, navigating around them smoothly. If it identifies areas where it might get stuck (like under low chairs), it suggests creating no-go zones in the app. The robot can climb thresholds and navigate tight spaces, returning to its dock automatically when cleaning is complete.

Yes, the Roborock app provides complete control over cleaning schedules and areas. You can select specific rooms, create custom cleaning zones, set no-go areas and schedule different cleaning modes for different times. The temporary cleaning mode allows instant spot cleaning, while scheduled cleaning can be customised for each room's specific needs.

How well does the mopping function work on tough stains?

The dual spinning mops at 200 RPM provide excellent cleaning power for most stains and daily maintenance. For dried spills or stubborn marks, the deep cleaning mode applies more pressure and water flow. While it handles most household spills effectively, heavily soiled areas or set-in stains may require pre-treatment or manual cleaning for best results.

Is the robot suitable for homes with stairs?

The robot includes cliff sensors to prevent falls down stairs, making it safe for multi-level homes. However, it cannot climb stairs independently. For homes with multiple floors, you can create separate maps for each level and manually move the robot between floors.
