The lithium-ion battery provides 110 minutes of continuous cleaning time. When the battery runs low during a cleaning cycle, the robot automatically returns to its charging dock. Once fully recharged, it resumes cleaning exactly where it left off using the Recharge & Resume feature, ensuring your entire home gets cleaned even if it requires multiple charging cycles.

Can this robot vacuum and mop at the same time?

Yes, the Matrix Plus can simultaneously vacuum dry debris and mop hard floors in a single pass. The sonic mopping feature operates at 100 scrubs per minute whilst the powerful suction removes loose dirt and hair. However, you can also use it as a vacuum-only mode for carpeted areas or mop-only mode for targeted hard floor cleaning.

How does the self-empty base work and how often needs emptying?

After each cleaning session, the robot automatically docks and transfers collected debris to the XL HEPA self-empty base using powerful suction. The bagless base holds up to 60 days of dirt and debris for average households. When full, simply remove the debris compartment and empty it into your household waste - no expensive disposal bags required.

What floor types can this robot clean effectively?

The Matrix Plus works on all floor types including carpets, rugs, hardwood, laminate, tile and vinyl. The Matrix Clean technology adjusts cleaning patterns based on surface type, whilst the self-cleaning brushroll digs deep into carpet fibres and directly engages hard floors. The sonic mopping feature is specifically designed for hard floor surfaces.

How accurate is the mapping and can I control where it cleans?

The 360° LiDAR creates highly accurate maps of your home layout, detecting furniture, walls and obstacles with precision. Through the SharkClean app, you can select specific rooms for targeted cleaning, set no-go zones to avoid certain areas, create custom carpet zones and schedule cleaning times. The mapping adapts to changes in your home layout automatically.

Is this suitable for homes with pets?

Absolutely. The powerful suction effectively removes pet hair from all surfaces, whilst the self-cleaning brushroll is engineered to be anti-hair wrap, preventing tangles. The sonic mopping tackles stuck-on pet messes and the HEPA filtration system captures pet dander and allergens. The large self-empty base handles the extra debris that comes with pet ownership.
