The Ultenic D10 uses laser scanning technology that rotates 360 degrees to measure distances and create precise room maps. Unlike cameras that struggle in low light, LiDAR works perfectly in darkness and creates more accurate maps. The laser measures distances up to several metres with millimetre precision, allowing the robot to navigate systematically rather than randomly, reducing cleaning time by up to 50% whilst ensuring complete coverage.

The 250ml water tank is designed for clean water only. Adding cleaning solutions, detergents or chemicals can damage the internal pump mechanism and void your warranty. The microfibre mop pad effectively removes dirt and stains using water alone. For stubborn stains, pre-treat the area manually before the robot cleans, or use the vacuum function first followed by traditional mopping for heavily soiled areas.

The robot uses pressure sensors and motor load detection to identify when it moves from hard floors onto carpets. When increased resistance is detected, the suction automatically increases to maximum 5000Pa power. This happens within seconds of carpet contact, ensuring deep cleaning of embedded dirt and pet hair. The system works with all carpet types from thin rugs to thick pile carpets up to 2cm height.

The D10 includes multiple safety sensors for anti-collision and anti-fall protection. If it becomes stuck, the robot will attempt to reverse and find an alternative route. You can then clear the obstruction and resume cleaning from where it stopped.

Battery life depends on floor type, suction settings and room layout. On hard floors with standard suction, the robot covers approximately 200 square metres. With auto carpet boost activated, coverage reduces to around 120-150 square metres due to increased power consumption. Most 3-4 bedroom homes can be cleaned in one cycle. The robot automatically returns to charge when battery reaches 15% and resumes cleaning where it left off.

Yes, the V-shaped brush design with anti-tangle rollers specifically targets pet hair without wrapping around the mechanism. The 5000Pa suction easily lifts pet hair from carpets and furniture. The tangle-free system reduces maintenance time as you won't need to cut hair from brushes regularly. The 340ml dustbin capacity handles significant amounts of pet hair and the quiet 50dB operation won't disturb nervous pets during cleaning.

The smartphone app allows detailed scheduling with different settings for each day. You can set specific rooms to clean on certain days, adjust suction levels, enable or disable mopping and set different start times. For example, schedule bedroom cleaning on weekdays when you're at work and full house cleaning on weekends. The app also allows one-time scheduling for special occasions or after parties.

The 340ml dustbin typically needs emptying after 2-3 cleaning sessions in average homes, or daily in homes with pets or high traffic. The water tank holds enough for approximately 80-100 square metres of mopping. Both containers have indicator lights and app notifications when they need attention. Regular maintenance involves emptying the dustbin after each use and refilling the water tank as needed, taking less than 2 minutes total.
